Well it’s here at long last after many months of dyno research / development and tooling the all new PM58 X-TECH PRO for Runner Dragster 125/180 suitable for stock, tuned and kitted machines.
 
Design principle - based on the hugely successful world beating PM55mk2 the PM58 X-TECH PRO has now been radically revised for improved performance, styling and fitment. Crucial to the power output within the specific RPM range is the tuned length of the system and accommodating this within the length of the scooter was a difficult task, because the exhaust port is situated half way down the length of the scooter to start with.
 
Your views and input - customer feed back of the PM55mk2 looking too long had been noted, and an alternative shorter system without loss of the fantastic power characteristics, this was our goal. So we decided to take an innovative new approach to this requirement with PMT's unique 180 degree stinger /muffler arrangement and a rearward facing muffler outlet another industry first.
 
As with all PMT pipes build quality is second to none, we take so much time and pride in the handcrafting of our systems.
 
Construction - new C.A.D two-piece front cone construction allows the use of complex multiple tapers difficult to obtain by normal sectional methods, this aids gas flow inertia and more efficient cylinder scavenging.
 
Power output - back to back comparisons with the PM55mk2 the X-TECH pipe shows power to be up by an average of 1.5hp across the speed range with specific power increases aimed at mid to upper power levels over the PM55mk2.
 
All PM58 X-TECH PRO’s now have improved baffle operation for reduced noise levels.
