Following last year's scooter sprint competition, Santa Pod will be HIJACKED for a second time in 2002, the difference being this time - SCOOTERS ONLY! This should dramatically increase the number of runs you will be able to get down the strip. The competition is open to EVERYONE with a scooter, both classics and automatics (tuned and un-tuned). So if you've got a nifty 50 or a tuned 172 then why not give it a go? Timing tickets are available for every run which give details of 60 foot, 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile times and speeds. This is one of the best ways to see how your bike is performing and work out where you can improve. All you have to do is turn up with the appropriate entrance fee and suitable clothing.

Santa Pod is one of Europe's biggest and best drag strips and renowned the world over, so why not bring your family and friends along too? The event will be covered in Scootering and Twist & Go magazines.

The bottom-line is, if you own a scooter you will NOT want to miss out on this action packed one day event at Santa Pod, the date is SATURDAY AUGUST 3rd 2002 - BE THERE!

THE DETAILS:

Entrants: if you're wanting to race try to arrive at around 9.00 to 9.30 am if possible as you need to sign-on. If the raceway reaches a certain capacity Santa Pod will close signing-on, so you'd be advised get there as early as you can to avoid disappointment! Spectators can arrive later.

IMPORTANT: don't forget your Driving Licence too which you will need in order to sign-on.

Attire: wear sensible clothing i.e. protective jacket, gloves, boots (with ankle protection), don't turn up in shorts and t-shirt expecting to race!
