** STOP PRESS! ** STOP PRESS! **
Many of you will have already heard about the development of a NEW DRAGASTER. Yes, I can confirm that Blue Energy in Italy are to produce three new-improved
versions of the Dragster. A while back I compiled a list of improvements and suggestions from fellow Italjet Dragster.com members. This last
was sent to Massimo Tartarini, the President of Blue Energy who is treating the list "as gold" in his words... So with a bit of luck, the Dragster
we know and love can only get better!
The new Dragster will be available in three Piaggio-based formats:
2-stroke 50cc (same engine as the Piaggio NRG MC3)
4-stroke 125cc (Piaggio Leader engine, same as the X9 125)
4-stroke 250cc (Piaggio Quasar engine, same as the X9 250)
Massimo informs me that they're hoping for UK and worldwide release as soon as March 2005.
In addition to this, an all-new model is on the cards, currently nicknamed the 'Naked Dragster' due to its 'stripped' look. Pictures of this new model
to follow... The new 'Naked Dragster' and the three aforementioned re-vamped Dragsters, are to be manufactured and assembled by Blue Energy in Italy.
After the unfortunate demise of Italjet, this is good news for all you die-hard Dragster freaks out there and potential new recruits. I'll keep you
posted with any news and new developments as they transpire.
HIT THE ROAD JACK...
Formerly an Italjet concept scooter, what we have here is called the 'Jack' from Blue Energy. It's an innovative
electric-powered trike, designed by Massimo Tartarini and Massimo Zaniboni in Italy. Spot the Dragster handlebars. What sets this scooter apart from other
scooters of this kind, apart from the fact this one has three wheels, is the steering which is very similar to the Italjet Scooop,
i.e. the trike leans when you steer. The Jack has a top speed of 25km/h (15.5mph) and the battery has a range of 25km (15.5 miles)
from fully charged.

Last year 1500 units of the funky, eco-friendly three-wheeler were sold in Italy, and sales of the machine are currently
going strong in Japan and Holland. As for the UK, Blue Energy are currently looking for an importer. So if there
are any interested parties out there, please get in touch. Expected retail price
is estimated to be around 1600 Euros (£1100).
For further info and video footage of the Jack in action, check out the official Blue Energy website at: www.blueenergy.it
(currently only available in Italian though).
