NOVEMBER
2003
20/11/03 :
The dates for X-Race / Straightliners sprint meetings have been set for 2004 and the dates are as follows:
11 April :: York Dragway, Melbourne, North Yorkshire
25 April :: Elvington, North Yorkshire
02 May :: East Kirkby, Lincolnshire
30 May :: Elvington
13 June :: Elvington
27 June :: East Kirkby
11 July :: to be announced
24/25 July :: Jurby, Isle of Man
08 August :: Elvington
30 August :: York Dragway
12 September :: East Kirkby
10 October :: Elvington
There will be probably seven rounds which count towards the actual championship with entrants submitting their best scores from five rounds, which
was how the championship was run for 2003. At this stage, there is still a chance that a few rounds will take place at Santa Pod and
possibly Avon Park. Straightliners have set the above dates though and you are welcome to race at any of them. If you would like to race at the Isle of Man
in July then please be aware that ferries need to be booked in advance to avoid disappointment along with hotel accomodation if you require it. There is also the possibility of ride-out around the
Isle of Man as an added attraction. The Isle of Man will probably be the location for one of the rounds of the championship but, an optional one.

13/11/03 :
Issue 22 of Twist & Go is out today. In this issue you will find (among other things):
Northern Scooter Club Weekender, X-Race Rounds 5 & 6, Guide to buying a used Runner, Naked in Yorkshire, Aprilia Scarabeo road test,
Polo Sport Custom Runner, Scooter Attack Weekender, BSSO Scooter Racing...
Sadly, part two of my 'Extreme Scootering' series was dropped by the "powers that be" at
Mortons Motorcycle Media as some things
were deemed unacceptable for Mortons to print. What I am referring to is images of stunting being undertaking in an "uncontrolled
environment". However, I'm glad to say that Mau (the editor)
has managed to 'wangle' something. Which means that part two will now be published in the next issue! So, thanks to everyone who put
their name to the petition that was started on the message board. Maybe, just maybe your opinions were listened to after all. Long live stuntin'!
Cheers, Paul.
