28/07/05 : ITALJET DRAGSTER.COM INKJET APPEAL

Italjet Dragster.com member Pete Newbold at Laser Friend has teamed his company up with Italjet Dragster.com and has agreed to donate £2.00 for every used / empty Hewlett Packard & Lexmark InkJet cartridge you post to them.

So you can now support Italjet Dragster.com by donating your used printer cartridges to the following Freepost address:

Italjet Dragster.com InkJet Appeal
Freepost RLTC-TBCK-RHJX
CHESTERFIELD
S41 9QX

Simply write the Freepost address on your envelope, put your empty cartridge/s inside the envelope, and pop it in the post box. It doesn't even need a stamp, the postage is paid.

Only post your Hewlett Packard & Lexmark -INKJET- cartridges to the Freepost address. * Any other cartridges will actually cost Italjet Dragster.com money. * If you do have any other printer cartridges to donate, call 0800 389 7051 and a suitable collection will be arranged.

Want to donate? Pete offers the following advice:

Organise your own Collection Scheme:
E-mail italjetddragsterinkjetappeal@laserfriend.co.uk or call them free on 0800 389 7051 for advice.

Mums & Dads: Collect empty cartridges from friends, relatives and neighbours, down the pub and your social clubs etc. you could even send them from work.

Kids: Ask your mates to bring their empty cartridges to your gootball Club, jiu jitsu club, dance class etc. You could even arrange a collection point at school.

Remember, every cartridge donated will directly contribute to help pay the rising costs of hosting and maintaining Italjet Dragster.com one of the UK's most popular scooter websites. Help keep the scene alive.

The scheme is simple, there is very little work involved and you can be proud knowing that your contribution is actually helping Italjet Dragster.com.

21/07/05 : WHITBY RUN UPDATE

Some news for those of you who are planning on attending The Whitby Run. After some thought and after suggestions of others, given that many riders will be travelling from further afield to get a taster of Whitby i.e. do a bit of sight seeing, it has been decided that, like last year, we will once again stop at the seafront upon arrival in Whitby. One hour after our arrival in Whitby, the plan is to adjourn to The Stakesby Arms pub where there will be a BBQ and music being put on by members of Whitby Scooter Club. TAG scooter magazine will also be present where there will be an on-the-spot custom show (with prizes for the winners) and free issues of TAG being dished out.

So the proposed plan for the day is now as follows:

9am - Depart Wakefield
10:30am - 1st stop: The Highwayman Cafe (A64)
11:15 - 2nd stop (fuel): BP Garage, Pickering
12:15 - 3rd stop: Goathland (break for half an hour)
1:15pm - Arrive at Whitby seafront

Then: ONE HOUR after arrival in Whitby, adjourn to The Stakesby Arms.

N.B. The above times are approximate.

Essex Air Ambulance Motorcycle Run 2005

The 2005 Essex Air Ambulance Motorcycle Run is set to be the best ever. It's a fundraising event and the organisers intend to make the Dunton to Harwich run even bigger and better this year breaking all previous records in terms of attendance and funds raised.

More than 4000 people attended the 2004 event and the plan is to continue the successful Dunton to Harwich route.

The 2005 Essex Air Ambulance Motorcycle Run will take place on Sunday 4th September and the entry fee is £5 per bike. The run starts at 11am but it's recommend that bikers arrive at Ford Dunton from 8am.

By all accounts, the run promises to be a fantastic event for bikers as well as fun for all the family at the Harwich Festival. As well as the 'biker' orientated activities, Essex FM's Martin Day will be on hand to entertain the crowd on the main stage. There will be live music, face painting, balloon sculpting, refreshment and concession stands and hopefully a fly-over or two by the Essex Air Ambulance, medical emergencies permitting. The green at Harwich is the perfect place for a family picnic and visitors will be invited to sample Dutch delights including Cheese Rolling and Clog Making...
