The Santa Pod Hijack is back for the third year running and this year it promises to bigger than ever. If you've never been drag racing before then this is the ideal place to start. Attractions this year include: - Classic & Automatic Scooter Sprinting - Trophies (supplied by PM Tuning Racing Products) - Prizes - Scooter dealers - On-site catering - Overnight camping - DJ - Licensed bar This year it's a two-day event with the hijack taking place on day one. You can camp overnight for a small fee and a DJ is being booked to provide music for those camping overnight, there is also a licensed bar. On day two, providing you haven't got too much of a hang-over you can participate in some more sprinting in the final round of the X-Race UK Championship, for full details on the championship, look here. Day 1: Sat 2nd Aug - Main Event Day 2: Sun 3rd Aug - X-RACE UK Championship 2003 (Final Round) Entrants: Cost of entry to the Santa Pod Hijack is £10 payable at the gates, if you want to race pay an additional £15 when you sign-on. N.B. In order to race you need a full car drivers licence. Santa Pod will not allow you to sign-on if you only have a provisional licences. IF you have a CBT you can still race so long as you can present your full car drivers licence. How to get there: Santa Pod Raceway is well sign-posted off the M1 motorway, leave at junctions 14, 15 or 16. Nearest British Rail station: Wellingborough. The idea is to then get the flyer seen in as many (relevant) public places that you can muster (like scooter shop windows and notice boards for example).
